<p><strong>Description</strong>: Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Staff Accountant to join a growing team in the Iowa City area. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in accounting principles and processes, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic workplace.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, records, and statements.</li><li>Handle bank and general ledger reconciliations promptly and accurately.</li><li>Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.</li><li>Process journal entries and manage accounts payable/accounts receivable functions.</li><li>Review financial data for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.</li><li>Provide support to external auditors by supplying required documentation.</li><li>Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.</li></ul><p><br></p>
