<p>Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in the Howell, New Jersey area. This role is integral to the Finance department, where you will contribute to key processes such as monthly closings, payroll preparation, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and payroll, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</p><p><br></p><p>Salary is 70,000 - 85,000. </p><p><br></p><p>Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, and PTO. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare monthly adjusting and closing journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.</p><p>• Conduct detailed account analysis and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.</p><p>• Manage biweekly payroll processing and administration in collaboration with the Human Resources team.</p><p>• Perform benefit premium audits and reconcile related accounts.</p><p>• Analyze variances between actual results and budget or forecast figures, providing actionable insights.</p><p>• Calculate and project workers' compensation obligations and ensure accurate reporting.</p><p>• Assist with 401(k) accounting, processing, and annual audits to maintain compliance.</p><p>• Support the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecast updates.</p><p>• Participate in annual financial audits and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.</p><p>• Handle special projects and financial analysis as needed to support organizational goals.</p>

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll, preferably in a senior-level role.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.<br>• Strong knowledge of account and bank reconciliation procedures.<br>• Experience with ADP Payroll systems or similar platforms.<br>• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.<br>• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.<br>• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and present financial findings clearly.
