We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee key accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved. • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards. • Conduct detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain data accuracy. • Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. • Utilize accounting software, such as Sage Intacct or AppFolio, to streamline financial processes and reporting. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with company policies. • Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and answering inquiries. • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. • Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 2 years of accounting experience with a strong attention to detail, preferably in the construction or real estate sectors. • Proficiency in using Sage Intacct; familiarity with AppFolio is a plus. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis. • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices. • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze financial data with accuracy.
