We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.• Conduct detailed account analysis and reconciliation to maintain data integrity.• Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing financial statements and reports.• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.• Utilize accounting systems such as Sage or similar platforms to manage financial data.• Identify and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts.• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.• Provide training on accounts payable procedures to ensure seamless integration.• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.

• Proven experience in journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations. • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or other similar platforms. • Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, sort data, and create pivot tables. • Strong understanding of general ledger operations and financial reporting. • Ability to manage month-end closing processes with accuracy and attention to detail. • Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills in accounting contexts. • Willingness to learn accounts payable processes if not already experienced.
