Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in High Point, North Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate tax, general ledger management, and journal entries.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.<br>• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision and attention to detail.<br>• Record, adjust, and maintain journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.<br>• Monitor and calculate sales tax obligations, including filing and remittance.<br>• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements in accounting workflows.<br>• Conduct periodic audits of financial records to ensure consistency and accuracy.<br>• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.<br>• Respond to inquiries regarding accounting discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.<br>• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
• Proficiency in corporate tax preparation and understanding of relevant regulations.<br>• Hands-on experience with sales tax calculations and reporting.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry processes.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools for efficient record-keeping.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in handling financial transactions.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaboration and addressing financial inquiries.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
