We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead and oversee core accounting operations for a non-profit in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This role involves managing a team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting audit processes to maintain compliance and efficiency. Responsibilities:• Manage and supervise a team of six accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure operational efficiency.• Oversee payroll processes and accounts payable functions to maintain accuracy and timeliness.• Assist in preparing for and conducting financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.• Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.• Review and reconcile accounts to maintain the integrity of financial records.• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring adherence to accounting principles.• Monitor and maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support financial operations and resolve discrepancies.

• Proven experience managing accounting operations and supervising teams. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and handling general ledger activities. • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and compliance standards. • Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation. • Familiarity with payroll and accounts payable workflows. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and leadership abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
