We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis at a government contracting client in Northern Virginia. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in government contracting and financial management, who can ensure compliance with federal regulations and oversee accurate reporting processes. Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and completed in a timely manner.• Oversee compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.• Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports to support organizational decision-making.• Utilize Deltek Costpoint to maintain accounting records and streamline financial operations.• Ensure alignment with federal government contracts and address any related financial matters.• Lead the implementation and enforcement of internal controls to safeguard company assets.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.• Conduct audits and reviews to verify the accuracy of financial data and regulatory compliance.• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial insights.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DCAA compliance. • Hands-on expertise with Deltek Costpoint software. • Background working with federal government contracts. • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to lead and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy. • Effective communication and collaboration skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
