This critical leadership role will oversee the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. As the Controller, you will play an essential role in driving strategic financial decisions and supporting business goals.Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis:<ul><li>Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.</li><li>Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations to executive leadership to support strategic planning and operational improvements.</li></ul>Accounting Operations:<ul><li>Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including month-end close, deferred revenue, WIP, accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and general ledger activities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and implement best practices for internal controls.</li></ul>Budgeting and Forecasting:<ul><li>Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process.</li><li>Develop financial forecasts and provide ongoing monitoring and variance analysis to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.</li></ul>Audit and Compliance:<ul><li>Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and regulatory agencies, ensuring successful execution of audits and compliance reviews.</li><li>Maintain adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including tax requirements applicable to the professional services sector.</li></ul>Team Management and Leadership:<ul><li>Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and collaboration.</li><li>Lead strategic initiatives to improve department workflows, systems, and processes.</li></ul>Strategic Financial Planning:<ul><li>Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align financial strategies with short-term and long-term business goals.</li></ul>

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification strongly preferred. Experience:<ul><li>Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.</li><li>Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or similar industries preferred.</li></ul>Technical Skills:<ul><li>Proficiency in financial management systems and ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks).</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Excel.</li></ul>Other Skills:<ul><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information.</li><li>Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li></ul>To apply, please reach out directly to William Kroppe III on LinkedIn.
