Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a 90-day contract basis in Hartland, Wisconsin. This is a fully onsite position where you will play a critical role in maintaining daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization while supporting key processes during a transitional period.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage customer collections and follow up on overdue account balances.<br>• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate payment applications.<br>• Process vendor invoices, payment batches, and obtain necessary approvals.<br>• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in vendor statements and maintain updated vendor profiles.<br>• Reconcile bank statements, aging reports, and general ledger activities.<br>• Monitor and respond to inquiries in the accounting shared inbox.<br>• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.<br>• Prepare detailed accounting reports and present findings to the Controller.<br>• Maintain organized financial records to ensure compliance with audit requirements and internal controls.<br>• Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to meet payment deadlines and resolve issues efficiently.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with attention to detail.<br>• Proficiency in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.<br>• Ability to prepare journal entries and conduct bank reconciliations with accuracy.<br>• Intermediate skills in Excel for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting systems.<br>• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and vendors.<br>• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.<br>• Knowledge of audit requirements and internal control procedures.
