Jr. Accountant/Bookkeeper
We are looking for a detail-oriented Jr. Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team in Greenwich, Connecticut. This role is ideal for someone eager to contribute their skills to a non-profit organization while managing essential accounting and bookkeeping tasks. As this is a long-term contract position, you will have the opportunity to support the organization's financial operations with consistency and precision.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with account statements.<br>• Record donations and manage donor-related financial entries in accordance with organizational guidelines.<br>• Process electronic fund transfers (EFT) and ensure proper documentation and tracking.<br>• Prepare and issue invoices for organizational payments and maintain organized records.<br>• Handle weekly check processing, including cutting and distributing checks as needed.<br>• Maintain lease agreement records and ensure compliance with terms.<br>• Prepare deposit tickets and coordinate with banking institutions as necessary.<br>• Oversee general bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Proven experience in bank reconciliations and financial record management.<br>• Familiarity with donor management and recording contributions.<br>• Competence in processing EFT payments and handling related documentation.<br>• Ability to prepare invoices and manage accounts payable.<br>• Proficiency in check processing and maintaining payment records.<br>• Knowledge of lease agreements and associated financial requirements.<br>• Strong bookkeeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
