IT Technician
We are looking for a skilled IT Technician to provide onsite support to production staff in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is a contract position requiring 12 hours per week, primarily focused on assisting with devices such as iPads and computers. The role is short-term, with a flexible schedule including three half-days per week.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Deliver timely and effective IT support to approximately 30–35 production staff, ensuring device functionality and user satisfaction.<br>• Maintain and troubleshoot devices such as iPads and computers used by the production team.<br>• Educate staff on basic IT processes and protocols, fostering a proactive approach to issue resolution.<br>• Implement routine maintenance practices, including weekly cleaning and upkeep of equipment.<br>• Manage service desk tickets by routing them through the appropriate channels and escalating as necessary.<br>• Collaborate with remote IT support teams to address complex issues and ensure seamless operations.<br>• Monitor and address technical concerns related to Microsoft Windows systems and applications.<br>• Provide overlap coverage between 1st and 2nd shifts to maximize support availability.<br>• Assist with onboarding new devices and ensuring they are set up correctly for production use.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10 and related troubleshooting techniques.<br>• Experience handling service desk tickets and routing them effectively.<br>• Familiarity with iPads and their operational requirements within a production environment.<br>• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical issues independently.<br>• Excellent communication skills to instruct staff on IT protocols and processes.<br>• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and ensure device reliability.<br>• Previous experience in a help desk or IT technician role is preferred.<br>• Availability to work on a flexible schedule, including overlapping shifts.
