Accounts Receivable Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the efficient management of accounts receivable processes, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to accuracy and professionalism.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, resolving accounts receivable-related issues and concerns.<br>• Prepare and distribute invoices and account statements, ensuring timely follow-up for payments.<br>• Assist in reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures.<br>• Update and maintain customer account information, keeping records organized and up-to-date.<br>• Collaborate with internal departments to address discrepancies in billing and payment processing.<br>• Perform cash collections and apply payments to appropriate accounts.<br>• Support commercial collections efforts to manage outstanding balances effectively.<br>• Handle billing functions with precision, ensuring adherence to company policies.<br>• Carry out additional administrative tasks related to accounts receivable as assigned.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related roles.<br>• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when managing financial data.<br>• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a collaborative environment.<br>• Familiarity with cash applications and commercial collections processes.<br>• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is desirable.
