We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Glen Allen, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee critical processes related to accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Manage the accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and approvals, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. • Oversee check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments to guarantee timely and accurate disbursements. • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong working relationships. • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all payable transactions for audit and reporting purposes. • Monitor and analyze accounts payable performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. • Supervise and guide accounts payable staff to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards. • Implement and maintain systems and tools to streamline accounts payable workflows. • Conduct periodic reviews of payment schedules to optimize cash flow management. • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes that may impact accounts payable processes.

• Proven experience in accounts payable management, preferably within the chemicals manufacturing industry. • Strong knowledge of coding invoices, check runs, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes. • Familiarity with financial systems and tools used in accounts payable operations. • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and generating actionable insights. • Leadership skills to guide and support a team in a fast-paced environment. • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
