We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in North Plano, Texas. This is a long-term contract-to-hire position ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and cost analysis. The role involves managing and analyzing costs related to raw materials, inventory, and production processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost control. Responsibilities:• Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses.• Develop and maintain standard cost accounting systems to support accurate reporting and decision-making.• Perform cost variance analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency.• Prepare detailed reports on cost structures and inventory valuation.• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in cost accounting processes.• Conduct audits of inventory and manufacturing costs to ensure accuracy.• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing cost-related insights.• Assist with the implementation of cost control measures across departments.• Provide recommendations to improve financial performance based on cost analysis.

• Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in cost analysis and inventory management. • Solid understanding of raw material inventory and manufacturing cost structures. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve cost efficiency. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. • Familiarity with financial compliance and regulatory requirements. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
