Medical Billing Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in French Camp, California. In this role, you will handle specialized billing and administrative tasks within a healthcare environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with complex regulations. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering the opportunity to grow within the organization while contributing to efficient healthcare operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage detailed billing processes, including coding, claims administration, and accounts receivable tasks to ensure timely reimbursements.<br>• Research and interpret complex healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to managers, patients, and external agencies.<br>• Process insurance claims, appeals, and treatment authorization forms while maintaining compliance with advanced coding and reimbursement requirements.<br>• Compile and analyze statistical and financial data to support administrative functions such as budgeting and inventory.<br>• Review and verify invoices, orders, and financial documentation for accuracy and completeness, adjusting accounts within authority limits.<br>• Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases to organize billing and program-related data effectively.<br>• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries in a calm and attentive manner, identifying client needs, and matching them with appropriate services.<br>• Train and guide clerical staff to ensure adherence to office procedures and billing protocols.<br>• Prepare complex reports and documents, including court orders, petitions, and other healthcare-related records.<br>• Maintain organized filing systems to support efficient retrieval of documents and compliance with healthcare standards.
<p>• At least 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related role within the healthcare industry.</p><p>• Proficiency in using healthcare software systems such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and EHR systems.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of billing functions, claims administration, and accounts receivable processes.</p><p>• Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and Epaces for data management.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to handle appeals and benefit functions in compliance with healthcare regulations.</p><p>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing complex administrative tasks.</p><p>• Effective communication skills to interact with patients, clients, and healthcare professionals.</p><p>• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, maintaining accuracy in reports and billing procedures.</p><p><br></p><p>Please contact Robert Half at 209.225.2014 for immediate consideration.</p>
