<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Emeryville, California. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting organizational goals.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Serve in a hands-on accounting role with exposure to multiple functions, including GL, AP, AR, and job costing.</li><li>Act as a cross-functional team member supporting smooth operations across departments.</li><li>Coordinate month-end activities to ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.</li><li>Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support a timely and efficient close.</li><li>Help develop and refine processes to enhance team efficiency and performance.</li><li>Utilize and optimize the ERP system (Vista) by continuously improving workflows and structure.</li><li>Generate ad hoc reports related to job cost, WIP, payroll, and other operational needs.</li><li>Lead initiatives such as business census reporting, license renewals, and tax filings.</li><li>Serve as the primary contact for the annual CPA review.</li><li>Partner with the Controller and CEO to support key strategic and managerial decisions.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of construction industry experience required.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.</li><li>Technically proficient with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.</li></ul>
