Patient Admin Specialist (PAS)
<p>We are looking for a <strong>Patient Administrative Specialist</strong> to join our team in Emeryville, California. In the <strong>Patient Administrative Specialist</strong> role, you will be responsible for managing front office operations in an outpatient clinical setting, including patient coordination, surgery scheduling, and administrative support. The <strong>Patient Administrative Specialist</strong> is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth daily operations of the clinic.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with their check-in and check-out processes.</p><p>• Support patient inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules with clear and attentive communication.</p><p>• Coordinate surgery scheduling and maintain communication with providers to address urgent patient needs.</p><p>• Manage administrative tasks such as maintaining databases, processing internal forms, and handling clinic-specific documentation.</p><p>• Provide support to doctors and patients using reference tools and documents.</p><p>• Answer non-clinical patient messages and CRM inquiries, escalating as necessary.</p><p>• Distribute faxes, organize incoming mail, and ensure proper filing of clinic documentation.</p><p>• Uphold organizational and departmental service standards while addressing patient needs.</p><p>• Assist with routing incoming calls and managing multi-line phone systems efficiently.</p>
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.<br>• Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.<br>• Strong knowledge of Windows-based office software and computer systems.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients and staff.<br>• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.<br>• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to solve problems calmly under pressure.<br>• Experience handling scheduling, documentation, and administrative coordination.<br>• Knowledge of multi-line phone systems and attention to detail in phone etiquette.
