Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis in Dayton, Ohio. This position involves handling key accounting responsibilities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and contributing to the smooth execution of year-end close. For immediate consideration, please apply first online then contact Chris Braun @ (937) 331-6360.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage and execute year-end close activities, ensuring all financial data is accurate and properly reconciled.</p><p>• Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to maintain and update financial records efficiently.</p><p>• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and related documents for internal and external use.</p><p>• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.</p><p>• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices in accounting procedures.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all accounting activities.</p><p>• Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.</p><p>• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate data.</p><p>• Contribute to general ledger maintenance and other accounting tasks as required.</p>
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise software.<br>• Strong knowledge of year-end close processes and financial reporting.<br>• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.<br>• Ability to effectively reconcile accounts and address discrepancies.<br>• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.<br>• Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
