Patient Registration
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Patient Registration team in Danbury, Connecticut. In this role, you will handle essential patient access functions, including registration, scheduling, and insurance verification, while ensuring a seamless and positive experience for each individual. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to the healthcare system and support patient care in a dynamic environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Complete patient registration processes, including collecting demographic and insurance details, and ensuring all necessary information is accurately documented.<br>• Efficiently schedule patient appointments by collaborating with clinical staff and accommodating walk-ins or urgent requests.<br>• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage using online systems and third-party payer websites to determine patient benefits and financial responsibilities.<br>• Obtain required signatures and authorizations while adhering to organizational protocols for financial and legal compliance.<br>• Update patient accounts and documentation systems promptly to ensure accuracy and compliance with department standards.<br>• Coordinate arrangements for patients requiring additional assistance, such as language or disability accommodations.<br>• Review and manage waitlists or recall lists to optimize appointment scheduling and minimize unused time slots.<br>• Actively support the team by sharing registration workload and meeting productivity expectations.<br>• Maintain familiarity with managed care requirements and healthcare regulations to ensure all processes align with current standards.<br>• Act as a representative of the hospital by safeguarding both patient and organizational financial interests.
• Proven experience in patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification within a healthcare setting.<br>• Strong understanding of healthcare insurance systems, including third-party payers and online eligibility platforms.<br>• Ability to use multiple applications and electronic systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and external parties.<br>• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion of responsibilities.<br>• Knowledge of managed care requirements and healthcare industry regulations.<br>• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality.<br>• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while meeting productivity goals.
