We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This is a long-term contract position ideal for professionals with experience in property accounting and financial reconciliation. The role requires a strong understanding of corporate tax processes and proficiency in accounting systems and tools.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and analyze property operating expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting.<br>• Reconcile cash accounts and prepare journal entries to maintain trial balances.<br>• Monitor fixed assets and update records as needed.<br>• Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist in preparing financial statements.<br>• Review rent rolls and ensure compliance with accounting practices.<br>• Utilize Excel for financial analysis, including working with existing macros.<br>• Collaborate on corporate tax returns and sales tax processes.<br>• Maintain and update accounting systems such as Yardi to support property accounting needs.<br>• Conduct periodic reviews of financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Proven experience in property accounting or related financial roles.<br>• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.<br>• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.<br>• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Yardi.<br>• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with macros.<br>• Ability to analyze and reconcile financial statements and trial balances.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.<br>• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
