We are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Covina, California. As part of a non-profit organization, you will play a key role in supporting our mission by maintaining financial integrity and providing exceptional service to employees. Responsibilities: • Process bi-weekly payroll by reviewing employee timesheets for accuracy and ensuring compliance with company policies. • Prepare journal entries for each payroll cycle and maintain accurate records for auditing and reporting purposes. • Import payroll data into the system and verify its accuracy for smooth payroll operations. • Assist the Payroll Manager with generating various reports and supporting audit procedures. • Reconcile payroll deductions, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies. • Respond promptly and courteously to employee inquiries about payroll, fostering trust and satisfaction. • Address and resolve payroll-related issues with professionalism and sound decision-making. • Collaborate on projects and perform additional duties as assigned to support the payroll team.

• Proven expertise in full-cycle payroll operations, including processing, reconciliation, and reporting. • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and experience in managing multi-state payroll systems. • Solid knowledge of payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements. • Strong analytical skills and experience using Excel formulas for payroll-related tasks. • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding employee support. • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
