Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position involves managing various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries, while supporting financial reporting processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and maintain journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.<br>• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.<br>• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify financial records and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.<br>• Manage corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.<br>• Handle sales tax filings and maintain accurate records for audit purposes.<br>• Monitor and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data and provide support during audits.<br>• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices as needed.<br>• Ensure all financial activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.<br>• Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns and sales tax regulations.<br>• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing bank reconciliations.<br>• Familiarity with financial statement preparation and reporting processes.<br>• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.<br>• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.<br>• Strong communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
