<p>Our client is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to assist with month-end close, regulatory reporting, account reconciliations and special projects. This is a highly visible position with the opportunity for exposure to all aspects of the business. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p>• Ensures proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP.</p><p>• Responsible for the monthly general ledger close process including preparation of journal entries, monthly accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations in the areas of responsibility.</p><p>• Responsible for assigned areas of quarterly regulatory reporting.</p><p>• Prepares schedules, supporting documents, and variance analyses for management.</p><p>• Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the related calculations and processes.</p><p>• Perform account reconciliations and other accounting analyses to support effective financial reporting.</p><p>• Prepare documents for the annual audit.</p><p>• Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing and support the payment process.</p><p>• Responsible for ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request.</p>

<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><p>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.</p><p>• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to work independently.</p><p>• Advanced knowledge of accounting functions and processes.</p><p>• Ability to extract, verify, and compile accounting information from multiple sources to complete work assignments.</p><p>• Advanced ability to effectively present complex accounting and finance related information verbally and in writing.</p><p>• Advanced experience with financial systems required. Must have hands-on experience with accounting and software packages.</p><p>• Experience and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).</p><p>• Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.</p><p>• Attention to detail is a must.</p><p>• Must be able to work well with others or alone, under minimal supervision.</p><p>• Strong Excel experience required. </p><p>• Must have ability to relate and communicate effectively with others.</p><p>• Thorough understanding of accounting and finance principles and procedures.</p><p>• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.</p><p>• Proven ability to prioritize.</p><p>• Excellent oral and written communication skills.</p>
