We’re partnering with a well-established financial institution to identify a Senior Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role offers exposure to a variety of responsibilities including account reconciliations, AP review, month-end close, and support with regulatory reporting.This is a stable, team-oriented environment where you can continue building your accounting career. Responsibilities:• Perform accurate account reconciliations to ensure financial records are balanced and aligned.• Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely review and payment.• Handle month-end close procedures, including journal entries and ledger adjustments.• Assist in preparing regulatory reports in compliance with financial standards.• Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records.• Support internal audits and provide necessary documentation for review.• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting department.• Maintain strong communication with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.

• A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a financial institution.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.• Proficiency in performing month-end close procedures and general ledger management.• Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication abilities.• Experience with account and bank reconciliations.• Familiarity with journal entry preparation and financial reporting.• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a team-oriented environment
