Payroll Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Collierville, Tennessee. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone with experience in payroll processing and strong organizational skills. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll operations while supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Examine timesheets, wage calculations, and other data to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.<br>• Collect employee time, production, and payroll information from various records to ensure accurate processing.<br>• Confirm attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and update relevant records accordingly.<br>• Process employee paychecks and provide statements detailing earnings and deductions.<br>• Maintain and update payroll records by recording employee exemptions, transfers, resignations, and other changes.<br>• Handle pay adjustments related to prior errors or retroactive increases.<br>• Prepare and review weekly analytical reports for departmental use.<br>• Assist employees with accessing and navigating the employee portal.<br>• Respond to income verification requests in a timely and efficient manner.<br>• Organize and distribute department mail and maintain electronic filing systems to ensure easy access and retrieval.
• Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processes.<br>• Strong numerical data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with payroll systems and software.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.<br>• Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and resolving inquiries.<br>• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.<br>• Experience maintaining organized and efficient filing systems.
