Legal Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will provide critical support to our legal department, focusing on real estate-related matters. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Assist attorneys with the preparation, review, and organization of legal documents related to real estate transactions.<br>• Conduct research on legal issues and provide summaries for attorney review.<br>• Maintain and update case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.<br>• Communicate with clients, vendors, and other parties to gather necessary information and coordinate activities.<br>• Schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments, while managing attorneys' calendars.<br>• Draft correspondence, reports, and other legal documents as needed.<br>• Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines by monitoring case progress.<br>• Provide administrative support such as answering calls, managing emails, and handling office correspondence.<br>• Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in real estate law.<br>• Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.<br>• Proficiency in legal research and document management tools.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.<br>• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or a related field.
