We are looking for a part-time experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to take charge of compliance-focused projects within a dynamic FinTech environment. This role demands a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams while ensuring alignment with SOC1 and SOC2 audit requirements. As part of a long-term contract position based in Chicago, Illinois, you will play a key role in driving communication, accountability, and project success across diverse workstreams. Responsibilities:• Oversee all phases of SOC1 and SOC2 compliance projects, including initiation, audit preparation, findings resolution, and delivering Type 2 audit outcomes.• Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings using Teams and occasional in-person sessions to ensure seamless communication.• Collaborate closely with team members, senior stakeholders, and technical experts to maintain clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.• Create and manage detailed project plans and schedules using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.• Integrate audit tools and oversee data readiness processes to support SOC2 Type 2 evidence collection.• Identify and engage with subject-matter experts across departments to ensure progress across parallel workstreams.• Promote team accountability and proactive ownership of tasks without resorting to micromanagement.• Provide consistent status updates and facilitate alignment with compliance and FinTech objectives.

• At least 10 years of experience managing compliance-focused projects in FinTech or similar regulated industries. • Proven knowledge of SOC1/SOC2 audits and expertise in facilitating Type 2 audit processes. • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps. • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand project scope and drive execution within tight timelines. • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels. • Familiarity with audit tools like Drata and compliance agents within FinTech environments is highly desirable. • Strong organizational skills and a self-driven approach to balancing multiple objectives. • Experience managing infrastructure-related projects, including data center and network systems.
