Desktop Support Analyst
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will handle a variety of technical tasks, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and classroom technology systems. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who excels in providing exceptional technical support and guidance.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage incoming service requests and oversee their progress through the tracking system to resolution.<br>• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot both Windows and Mac systems, including deploying new hardware and performing system upgrades, patches, and maintenance.<br>• Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware and software, ensuring all systems are up-to-date.<br>• Deliver training and support to staff on software and hardware systems, and create comprehensive user and system documentation.<br>• Provide technical support for classroom technology, including maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.<br>• Assist faculty and staff in understanding classroom technology requirements and limitations.<br>• Prepare rooms with appropriate equipment for events such as classes, meetings, and seminars, ensuring all systems are ready for use.<br>• Address issues promptly for online course moderators and attendees, ensuring minimal disruptions.<br>• Support pre-exam setup and provide communication and assistance during exam periods, which may require occasional weekend availability.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting PC desktops and workstations.<br>• Hands-on experience with Active Directory for system management.<br>• Solid knowledge of desktop hardware and related technologies.<br>• Expertise in Windows 10, including imaging and system configuration.<br>• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle technical challenges effectively.<br>• Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to users.<br>• Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional weekends.<br>• Familiarity with classroom technology systems and online conferencing tools.
