Desktop Support Analyst
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Chicago, Illinois, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will provide technical support and guidance to ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, and classroom technology systems. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and maintaining technology solutions for efficient daily operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage incoming service requests, ensuring timely tracking and resolution through the appropriate system.<br>• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Mac hardware and software, including deploying new devices and performing system updates.<br>• Maintain an inventory database for hardware and software while installing upgrades and patches as needed.<br>• Provide user support and training for hardware and software systems, ensuring clear documentation is created and updated.<br>• Deliver comprehensive classroom technology support, including maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.<br>• Advise faculty and staff on the capabilities and limitations of classroom technology systems.<br>• Prepare rooms with appropriate equipment for events such as teaching sessions, meetings, and seminars.<br>• Address technical issues promptly for online course moderators and attendees.<br>• Assist with pre-exam setup, communication, and technical support during exam periods, which may require flexible hours, including weekends.
• Proficiency in PC desktop and workstation support.<br>• Experience with Active Directory for user and system management.<br>• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.<br>• Expertise in Windows 10 configuration and support.<br>• Familiarity with desktop imaging processes.<br>• Ability to manage and maintain hardware/software inventory systems.<br>• Excellent communication skills for effective user support and training.<br>• Flexibility to work irregular hours during critical periods such as exams.
