Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join an established organization in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on a long-term contract basis. The ideal candidate will take charge of essential accounting tasks and ensure the organization’s financial records are accurate and compliant. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while leveraging your expertise in accounting and financial management.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.</p><p>• Manage month-end and year-end closings, ensuring timely completion of all required tasks.</p><p>• Handle general ledger activities, including journal entries and adjustments.</p><p>• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactions.</p><p>• Provide support in preparing financial documentation for audits.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve financial workflows.</p>
<p>• BA/BS in Accounting</p><p>• Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience</p><p>• Experience with ERP systems</p><p>• Highly organized and self-motivated</p><p>• Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers</p><p>• Familiarity with financial auditing processes and documentation.</p><p>• Proven experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.</p><p>• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entries.</p><p>• Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation</p><p>• Financial reporting systems proficiency</p><p>• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines</p><p>• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity</p><p>• Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills</p><p> </p><p>**All candidates must undergo drug and background screening for consideration</p>
