Receptionist
We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Greet visitors warmly and direct them to the appropriate person or department.<br>• Manage a multi-line phone system, including answering and routing inbound calls in a courteous manner.<br>• Operate a switchboard with up to 10 phone lines, ensuring calls are handled promptly.<br>• Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information to callers and visitors.<br>• Maintain a tidy and organized reception area to create a welcoming environment.<br>• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling correspondence.<br>• Ensure smooth communication flow between departments and external contacts.<br>• Monitor and manage incoming mail and packages, distributing them appropriately.<br>• Support part-time reception duties as needed during peak hours or special events.
• Previous experience in receptionist or administrative roles is required.<br>• Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and switchboards.<br>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service.<br>• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Familiarity with standard office equipment and basic computer applications.<br>• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules, including part-time hours as needed.<br>• Detail-oriented approach and appearance suitable for a front-facing role.
