We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Burlington, Washington. This role is ideal for professionals with at least three years of accounting experience, seeking hands-on involvement in critical financial processes. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closings. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Perform account reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and accurate. • Assist in the month-end closing process, including compiling and analyzing financial data. • Maintain and update general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Utilize Excel to create and manage spreadsheets for financial reporting. • Apply GASB principles to ensure compliance with government accounting standards. • Collaborate with team members to address accounting issues and improve processes.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a setting requiring attention to detail. • Proficiency in bank and account reconciliations. • Familiarity with GASB principles and their application in accounting. • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and procedures. • Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Attention to detail and ability to work independently. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
