<p>We are looking for an experienced Non-Profit Controller in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In this long-term contract role with opportunity for permanent placement, you will play a key part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support organizational goals. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with leadership and contribute to the financial health and sustainability of the organization.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Soley supervise daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial records.</p><p>• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to produce timely and accurate financial reports.</p><p>• Prepare and present financial statements, cash flow projections, and variance analyses to board members and leadership.</p><p>• Manage cash flow and oversee payroll processing using ADP systems.</p><p>• Handle accounts payable and ensure timely payment processing.</p><p>• Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain financial records and streamline accounting tasks.</p><p>• Oversee state grant management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.</p><p>• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings.</p><p>• Administer the organization's retirement plan.</p>

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for managing accounting tasks.<br>• Experience with ADP systems for payroll processing.<br>• Strong knowledge of external audit procedures and requirements.<br>• Expertise in month-end and year-end closing processes.<br>• Ability to prepare annual budgets and conduct financial forecasting.<br>• Familiarity with grant management and state funding compliance.<br>• Solid understanding of cash flow management and accounts payable processes.<br>• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with leadership and board members.
