We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team on a contract basis outside Hartford, Connecticut. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations, oversee revenue recognition processes, and manage key accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial statement preparation, mergers & acquisitions, and account reconciliation. Responsibilities:• Oversee revenue recognition processes, including managing overtime revenue calculations.• Prepare and consolidate financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.• Create and maintain opening balance sheets for specific business units, ensuring data integrity.• Lead the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including discontinued operations.• Break down business units and reorganize financial structures as needed.• Perform detailed account reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial records.• Collaborate on budget preparation and forecasting to support organizational goals.• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and practices throughout all processes.• Provide pro forma financial statements to support business decision-making.

• Proven experience in general ledger management and oversight. • Expertise in preparing and consolidating financial statements. • Strong knowledge of pro forma financial statements and their applications. • Ability to conduct thorough account reconciliations with attention to detail. • Demonstrated experience with mergers & acquisitions and discontinued operations. • Familiarity with revenue recognition processes, particularly overtime revenue. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and software, with Epicor experience preferred but not required.
