<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to hire a <strong>Senior Backend Developer (contract-to-hire).</strong> Please note, that this is a hybrid role and requires <strong>3 days onsite per week.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable cloud-based software applications</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and QA to deliver solutions that meet business and user needs</li><li>Ensure software quality, reliability, and maintainability by following best practices in development, testing, and deployment</li><li>Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot bugs, and optimize performance for high-quality deliverables</li><li>Identify technical risks and propose effective mitigation strategies to support project success</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field</li><li>7+ years of experience in software development, preferably with SaaS products</li><li>Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures</li><li>Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git)</li><li>Experience with API design and integration involving high-volume data exchanges</li><li>Ability to analyze and improve existing codebases using data-driven insights</li><li>Proven experience across the full software stack</li><li>Expertise in one or more programming languages: <strong>Python, Java, Kotlin</strong></li><li>Solid understanding of database design, SQL queries, and transactions</li><li>Hands-on experience with <strong>AWS</strong> services and cloud infrastructure.</li><li>Familiarity with containerization tools such as <strong>Docker</strong> and <strong>Kubernetes</strong></li><li>Knowledge of best practices for deploying, scaling, and managing cloud-native applications</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Contract Benefit Offerings:</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans)</li><li>401(k) and retirement plans</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Employee and vendor discounts</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>And many more!</li></ul><p><br></p>
