We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, this role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the company’s month-end closing processes. This is a great opportunity for accounting professionals seeking to contribute their expertise in a dynamic environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring financial data is accurately compiled and reported.<br>• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure consistency and reliability of accounting records.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries, analyzing and verifying data for accuracy.<br>• Conduct account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving them promptly.<br>• Perform bank reconciliations to validate transactions and balances.<br>• Handle sales tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.<br>• Oversee monthly sales tax processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions.<br>• Utilize Epicor software for accounting tasks and reporting.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business operations.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.<br>• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes.<br>• Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.<br>• Familiarity with Epicor or similar accounting software.<br>• Understanding of sales tax returns and related compliance requirements.<br>• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
