We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Andover, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and analysis within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to achieve organizational goals. Responsibilities:• Oversee and support the achievement of departmental objectives and financial targets.• Ensure compliance with internal control standards and promote their implementation.• Manage tight deadlines for monthly financial statement preparation, period-end close processes, and audits.• Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and attention to detail.• Conduct monthly reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules for general ledger accounts.• Review and validate the work of Staff Accountants in designated areas.• Maintain ownership of specific general ledger accounts and provide detailed analysis.• Provide financial models and variance reports to assist management in decision-making.• Facilitate accounting tasks for affiliated entities, including financial reporting and tax preparation.• Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation to support financial transactions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management. • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment. • Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries. • Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with MEDITECH or similar financial software systems. • Experience in audit processes and financial statement preparation. • Ability to analyze data and create meaningful financial reports. • Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
