We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Alexandria, Virginia. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing property accounting functions and ensuring financial accuracy. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in property accounting and experience using Entrata software.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and oversee property accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial standards and regulations.<br>• Reconcile accounts, including reviewing and analyzing financial data to maintain accuracy.<br>• Utilize Entrata software to perform accounting functions such as posting transactions and generating reports.<br>• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support business decision-making.<br>• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.<br>• Monitor cash flow and handle accounts payable and receivable processes.<br>• Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.<br>• Provide support during financial reviews and audits, addressing inquiries as needed.

<p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or a related field.</p><p>• Proficiency in using Entrata software for financial management tasks is required. </p><p>• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.</p><p>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</p><p>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.</p><p>• Experience with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.</p>
