<p>We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing key financial operations for a non-profit organization. This is a hands-on position that offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful financial processes while supporting organizational goals. This is a short-term contract opportunity.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process payroll on a semi-monthly and bi-weekly basis.</p><p>• Manage accrual accounts.</p><p>• Oversee deferred revenue.</p><p>• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency across accounts.</p><p>• Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights for decision-making.</p><p>• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support various projects and initiatives.</p>

• Proficiency in month-end close processes and procedures.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting.<br>• Experience with bank reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy.<br>• Solid understanding of accrual accounting principles.<br>• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and practices.<br>• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.<br>• Prior experience in a non-profit environment is a plus.
