We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will contribute to essential accounting functions, including cash receipts and accounts payable, while supporting various projects and collaborating with other field offices. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting processes and systems.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Accurately record cash receipts and manage accounts payable transactions to ensure financial accuracy.<br>• Provide assistance on special accounting projects to support organizational goals.<br>• Collaborate effectively with field office teams to streamline financial processes and maintain clear communication.<br>• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP platforms to complete financial tasks efficiently.<br>• Process accounts receivable and billing functions with attention to detail.<br>• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.<br>• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all tasks performed.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Sage Intacct.<br>• Experience with ERP platforms and their application in financial processes.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.<br>• Familiarity with billing processes and general accounting practices.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and field offices.<br>• Solid understanding of accounting standards and principles.
