Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple client accounts and ensuring accurate financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative workplace.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage bookkeeping tasks for multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.<br>• Maintain and update general ledger activities, keeping financial records organized.<br>• Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare financial reports for tax review.<br>• Process and oversee payroll operations for assigned clients, ensuring timely and accurate payments.<br>• Handle state filings, including sales tax, gross receipts tax, and withholding filings, adhering to monthly deadlines.<br>• Collaborate with supervisors and team members during peak periods to share workloads effectively.<br>• Ensure all records are maintained accurately and meet recurring compliance requirements.<br>• Provide attentive and responsive communication with clients, addressing inquiries and building strong relationships.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or staff accounting roles.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks, with preference for Desktop experience; Online version also acceptable.<br>• Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and general ledger.<br>• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.<br>• Excellent communication skills with comfort in client-facing interactions.<br>• Previous experience in payroll processing is highly desirable.<br>• Familiarity with state tax filings and compliance processes is preferred.<br>• Adaptability to new technology and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
