Bilingual CPA
<p> Salary range: $80,000–$120,000 annually. Position available full-time, part-time, or contract; in-person role based in New Mexico.</p><p>We are an established, family-owned New Mexico company with multiple divisions seeking an experienced, bilingual Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an active license to lead and manage our accounting department. MUST BE BILINGUAL - SPANISH SPEAKING. This strategic, hands-on role is responsible for overseeing financial operations across all entities, including establishing and maintaining accurate accounting systems, preparing financial statements and management reports, managing general ledger integrity, payroll, AP/AR, inventory valuation, and cost accounting for manufacturing and materials. The CPA will reconcile and modernize legacy records, support system transitions (Sage or similar platforms preferred), implement strong internal controls, and coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals. This position also oversees all federal, state, and local tax compliance, including sales and excise tax filings, and serves as a trusted advisor to ownership on tax strategy, business structure, and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, clear communication skills, and the highest level of integrity and professionalism. </p>
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.<br>• Proficiency in individual and corporate tax preparation.<br>• Expertise in using CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax software.<br>• Fluency in both English and Spanish for effective communication and translations.<br>• Strong knowledge of financial operations, including payroll, inventory valuation, and cost accounting.<br>• Experience with implementing accounting system transitions, preferably Sage.<br>• Ability to manage federal, state, and local tax compliance.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain integrity in financial reporting.
