Amy Kincaid has always been passionate about supporting nonprofits.

“Besides helping worthwhile organizations, volunteering is a great way to build trust with clients and the community,” said Kincaid, a senior account executive for Robert Half Technology in Jacksonville, Fla. She’s been heavily involved in community outreach since she moved to that office a year ago from our team in Raleigh, N.C., where she also championed volunteer activities.

Kincaid has had a positive impact not just on the community outside of the office, but also on employee morale.

“Doing these projects has really brought the office together,” said Teddy Enquist, Robert Half Technology branch manager in Jacksonville. “It’s a good way to rally the teams for a common goal through charity and helping others.”

To determine which nonprofits to work with, Kincaid asks both clients and colleagues which organizations they are involved in, and then researches potential opportunities.

To date, the Jacksonville office has supported a Salvation Army school supply drive, collected toys during a Tech on Tap networking event and diapers for One More Child, packed grocery baskets for Thanksgiving, raised money for Canines for Warriors and walked to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.

And the office has been able to donate about $2,900 more using our Matching Gifts program, through which Robert Half will double fundraising efforts — as well as $930 in Happy Hours grants for time spent volunteering.

To promote her community outreach opportunities, Kincaid uses LinkedIn, Instagram, email blasts and even client calls, as the projects also give her the excuse to connect with clients, new and old.

“When a company like Robert Half has a unique commitment like community support, it sets us apart,” Kincaid said.

The response to Kincaid's leadership, both internally and with clients and candidates, has been overwhelming, said Enquist. “Amy’s level of commitment to the Jacksonville community is genuine and brings true value to the Robert Half team and our company’s reputation overall.”

Kincaid added, “My biggest hope is that people will not only look at us as a trusted staffing partner, but as a company improving the Jacksonville community where we live.”
