Collections Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in Brampton, Ontario on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct follow-ups, send reminders, and communicate with clients to ensure timely payments.<br>• Analyze accounts receivable records to validate collectible items and address outstanding balances.<br>• Investigate payment delays and work closely with customers to resolve disputes or issues.<br>• Maintain accurate aging reports for accounts receivable and oversee online payment processing.<br>• Apply accounting principles, including debits and credits, to support general accounting tasks.<br>• Utilize data to identify trends, highlight discrepancies, and inform decision-making.<br>• Keep thorough and organized documentation of all collection activities and communications.<br>• Use Microsoft Excel to manage data, perform lookups, and conduct detailed analyses.<br>• Leverage expertise in QuickBooks to assist with financial processes and reporting.<br>• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless handling of collections and accounting support.
<p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or accounting.</p><p>• Proficiency in QuickBooks required.</p><p>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of payment processing and credit management.</p><p>• Exceptional communication skills with a detail-oriented and persistent approach.</p><p>• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain organized records.</p><p>• Problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude toward resolving issues.</p><p>• Ability to manage both collections and general accounting tasks effectively.</p>
