The Accountant position reports to the Managers in the Entity Group and provides a unique opportunity for a qualified candidate to leverage his or her accounting, financial analysis, project management, and leadership skills in the oversight of several entities within the group.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Duties & Responsibilities </strong></p><p>• Will be assigned to a slate of investment entities; responsible for all aspects of such entities’ accounting, tax, legal and financial management and analysis functions.</p><p>• Maintain the general ledger accounting for assigned entities including preparing journal entries for investment activity, cash disbursements, cash receipts, payment of expenses and general ledger account reconciliations.</p><p>• Prepare the tax projections and tax return workpapers for assigned entities (partnerships and corporations) including identification and resolution of tax issues with managers, in consultation with in-house tax experts.</p><p>• Provide transaction support to the family investment organizations, including drafting board packages and preparing treasury entries upon closing.</p><p>• Interpret governing documents (e.g. operating agreements and by-laws) and apply the provisions of the governing documents to the management and accounting for an entity.</p><p>• Provide day-to-day business and accounting support to certain professional service providers such as budget and projection preparation, quarterly billing, processing reimbursable expenses, etc.</p><p>• Identify, develop and assist with the execution of improvements to internal processes.</p><p> </p>
