We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in analyzing and documenting business needs, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving improvements in workflows and systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects while enhancing your business acumen and technical expertise.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct interviews and facilitate discussions with business and technology stakeholders to identify and understand system and business requirements.<br>• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals.<br>• Utilize various business analysis techniques, such as process modeling, context diagrams, use cases, and user stories, to create comprehensive requirement artifacts.<br>• Analyze business challenges and propose innovative solutions to improve workflows, processes, and systems.<br>• Support the development of business cases and cost-benefit analyses by gathering and interpreting relevant data.<br>• Lead efforts to redesign business processes, prioritizing automation and streamlining manual tasks where possible.<br>• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to define testing requirements, create traceability matrices, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.<br>• Build and maintain strong working relationships with business users and IT teams to foster collaboration and drive project success.<br>• Communicate effectively by tailoring messages to suit the audience, ensuring clarity and conciseness in all presentations and documentation.<br>• Provide guidance and support during periods of change, helping teams adapt and overcome challenges effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and relevant work experience.<br>• A minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, with strong familiarity in creating business process models, context diagrams, use cases, and user stories.<br>• Proficiency in project management and software development life cycle methodologies, including Agile frameworks.<br>• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Excel, Access, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.<br>• Solid understanding of annuity concepts and related business practices.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose creative solutions.<br>• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.<br>• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both business users and IT teams to achieve project objectives.
