Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Wellesley, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial operations, including full-cycle accounts payable processes and other accounting tasks as assigned. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a commitment to accurate financial reporting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Handle full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.<br>• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring proper categorization and accuracy.<br>• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations.<br>• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.<br>• Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.<br>• Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as required to meet project needs.<br>• Utilize accounting software to manage data and streamline processes effectively.
<p>• Proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting functions.</p><p>• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.</p><p>• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.</p><p>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</p><p>• Strong communication abilities to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.</p>
