<p>Robert Half is partnering with a nonprofit educational organization in the Cedar Valley in their pursuit to hire a Business/Accounting leader to oversee financial operations and accounting activities. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in general accounting and a strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Supervise and lead the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.</p><p>• Oversee the preparation and review of accounting entries to maintain accurate financial records.</p><p>• Manage month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.</p><p>• Implement and oversee fund accounting practices tailored to the needs of a non-profit organization.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and organizational policies.</p><p>• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.</p><p>• Develop and maintain budgets, monitoring expenditures to align with organizational goals.</p><p>• Collaborate with leadership to plan and execute financial strategies that support the organization's mission.</p><p>• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.</p>

• Proven experience in accounting or financial management within a non-profit organization.<br>• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and fund accounting practices.<br>• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.<br>• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing accounting entries and financial statements.<br>• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.<br>• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data.<br>• Strong organizational and communication skills.<br>• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
