Financial Analyst - Entry Level
We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will play a key part in monitoring financial transactions, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in financial analysis and compliance within the financial services sector.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Investigate alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems to identify unusual patterns or suspicious activity.<br>• Examine transactional behaviors of clients against expected norms and address any inconsistencies.<br>• Conduct follow-ups and due diligence on flagged transactions to determine their legitimacy.<br>• Prepare detailed reports of findings for senior compliance personnel and regulatory bodies.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information required for customer and enhanced due diligence processes.<br>• Stay informed about relevant financial regulations and apply them effectively in daily tasks.<br>• Participate in ongoing training to remain updated on regulatory changes and compliance best practices.<br>• Work with the technology team to enhance the functionality of transaction monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and functions.<br>• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas.<br>• Ability to think critically and analyze financial data effectively.<br>• Familiarity with banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.<br>• Experience in high-volume data entry, including numeric and computer-based tasks.<br>• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry activities.<br>• Knowledge of financial compliance regulations is a plus.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
