We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to manage and optimize a multi-site enterprise network environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in supporting modern networking and security platforms, ensuring seamless operations in compliance-driven environments. Candidates should bring a strong focus on system reliability, security, and high availability. This is a long-term contract position located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.<br>• Implement and monitor security measures, including firewalls and access controls, to safeguard network infrastructure.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute network enhancements and upgrades.<br>• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.<br>• Provide technical support and guidance for complex networking issues in production environments.<br>• Manage and optimize networking hardware and software, including Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba devices.<br>• Monitor network activity and performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.<br>• Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.<br>• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure the resilience of critical systems.<br>• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve network operations.

• Proven experience in enterprise network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.<br>• Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba networking devices.<br>• Strong knowledge of security protocols and practices for protecting network infrastructure.<br>• Familiarity with high-availability design principles and production environment support.<br>• Ability to work effectively in compliance-driven settings and adhere to regulatory standards.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.<br>• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
